Thought for the day.
1st July 2020
Let us actively thank God for our local village folk, who care for one another in so many different ways.

On Thursday last week, people from our communities showed their respect and affection for Andrew,
Angela's beloved husband, by lining the lanes leading to Bicknoller Churchyard, where family and just a
few of Andrew's and Angela's many friends, were present to say Farewell - may he rest in peace and rise
in glory.

I am thanking God for the lovely service out in the open air with beauty all around: green grass, blue sky,
trees for shade (it was a very hot day), soaring birdsong, the hills up above. It was a very special time of
remembering Andrew, as Angela shared some of the tributes people had made:
bonkers; eccentric; a gentleman; loved singing; and
getting covered in oil and grime as a Railway volunteer; a larger than life character.
Let's thank God for him, and pray for Angela.

Jesus says "Love one another as I have loved you." Jn.15.12
