January update

NOTICE FROM THE RECTOR

At a Zoom meeting of all the Wardens, Bishop Nigel and Angela on Tuesday evening it was decided, regretfully, that in view of a recent steer from Bishop Ruth, the present Covid situation, and huge rise in numbers (although thankfully this has gone down a little in Somerset West and Taunton over the last 2 days) we should temporarily SUSPEND ALL PUBLIC WORHIP until at least the end of January.  We will meet again on 1st February to review the situation.

Although this is a great shame, we feel that we must take this step, especially given the Governments instructions to only leave home when essential.  Meanwhile a weekly Zoom Eucharist will continue to take place each Sunday at 10.30, and be a 1662 service on the 4th Sunday of the month.  Monday Zoom morning prayer will now happen on WEDNESDAYS at 9.30 a.m.

ALL CHURCHES WILL REMAIN OPEN FOR PRIVATE PRAYER. Please be sure to use the HAND SANITIZERS, refrain from touching things as far as possible, WEAR A MASK and MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING AT ALL TIMES.

Please feel free to ring Angela for any pastoral needs, or e mail her.

There will be an on line LENT COURSE starting up in February – more details to follow. Pathways will not be coming out at this time, but there will be a combined Feb and March one produced later in February, to be collected from the churches by individuals. We are not allowed to distribute them.

Stay safe everyone and we all look forward to the spring when millions more vaccines have been rolled out and we can start to resume a little more normality.

Angela Berners-Wilson

Rector
